Our Mission

We're Obsessed with Developer Productivity

We're not just teachers, we're developers. We built CodeCrafters Academy to share the hard-won lessons that you can't learn from a manual.

CodeCrafters Academy was founded by a group of veteran iOS developers in San Francisco who believe that true mastery comes from a deep understanding of process and tools, not just language syntax. Our mission is to elevate the craft of software development by focusing on efficiency, architecture, and the workflows that separate the good from the great.

From a Crowded Cafe to a Global Classroom

Innovation often starts with frustration. Our journey began when we stopped accepting slow builds as "part of the job."

2015 — The SoMa Meetup

It started as a weekly meetup for developers in San Francisco's SoMa district. We weren't discussing the latest Swift syntax; we were debating build times. We realized that efficiency tools and workflows were the most requested topic, yet the least documented.

2018 — The 'Aha' Moment

After consulting for major Silicon Valley firms, we noticed a pattern: Junior developers knew how to code, but they didn't know how to ship. They struggled with Xcode quirks, memory leaks, and bloated archives. We created our first internal guide: "The Xcode Cleaner Manifesto."

Today — Global Methodology

We transitioned to an online academy to reach a global audience, yet we remain rooted in the San Francisco innovation culture. Our instructors now hold a combined 50+ years of experience shipping high-scale iOS apps, bringing Silicon Valley standards to students worldwide.
